Animal abuse

Last night on the news I watched as unstable cattle were being prodded and poked with fork lifts, employees kicking, shocking them in order to stand to be slaughtered. This video was taken by the Humane Society of the US. The video prompted the Department of Agriculture to recall 143 million pounds of frozen beef. This meat packing company provided meat to school lunch programs. These sick and crippled animals reached our food chain without proper inspection. Our government officals believe that the meat from these animals have already been eaten. I wonder how many of the sick animals had mad cow disease. It makes me very cautious about how good the inspection system of our government is and how much we can trust it. Grandmother
